The former Mayor of Slavyansk, Nelya Shtepa, who was accused of separatism, has already left her imprisonment. This "CP" in Ukraine "was confirmed by her lawyer Alexander Shadrin, who was with her at the trial.

According to the lawyer, Nelya Igorevna was very worried and burst into tears when she learned that she could go free.

"For security reasons, I can not disclose where my client is now," says Alexander Shadrin. "She was handed over to the police, who will monitor compliance with the home arrest regime. Now Nelya Igorevna is already under the tutelage of her relatives.

The lawyer confirmed that the prosecutor's office insisted on the extension of the arrest. But the court had to satisfy the request for protection, as the health of Shtepa deteriorated sharply.

- I think the position of the European Court of Human Rights played a role, demanding that information about the prisoner's health be sent to the ECtHR, and the SIZO ordered to provide diagnostics and to schedule treatment.

"Nelyu Shtepu, the hero of Ukraine, was released under house arrest with a bracelet on his leg! Truth is stronger than lies! Glory to Ukraine! Thanks to lawyers, judges, prosecutors and the Security Service!" - wrote Irma Krat in Facebook.

Styopa left the prison, holding the flag of Ukraine. Krat, who was walking nearby, sang the anthem of Ukraine, but Shtepa could not support her, singing only single words and nodding her head.
