At the Kharkov Air Force University named after Ivan Kozhedub, about 160 officers who agreed to return to the army from the reserve in June received special courses for retraining and further training. SQ was informed about this in the media center of the Ministry of Defense (Kharkov).
From June 20 to September 15, "jackets" improved knowledge and skills in their military specialties.
In Kharkov, recruits were provided with a field uniform, placed in cadet dormitories and the like. At the same time, about 40% of them studied the specifics of the work of aviation engineers, while the rest learned the actions of officers of air defense units.
According to the words of the head of the university, Major-General Andrey Alimpiev, dozens of the best teachers of the university were involved in work with officers, and practical exercises were conducted in the combat units of the Kharkov and Chuguev garrisons.
At the same time, only one out of every five officers plans to remain in the Ukrainian army at the end of the term of his service by conscription, noted in the regional media center.
All graduates of special courses of retraining and advanced training of the Kharkiv University of Air Force named after Ivan Kozhedub received appropriate certificates and orders to the military units of the Air Force, the Navy and the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
