The topic of discussion at the event was the state of local and regional democracy in several countries: Ukraine, Turkey, Romania and Armenia.

"We defend our interests," the head of KHOGA. - As vice president of the Chamber of Regions, she proposed to strengthen European cooperation at the level of local communities and introduce a number of regional social programs in Ukraine.

In general, Ukraine's Eurointegration policy has full support, which is confirmed by the visit of the leadership of the CoE Congress to Kiev scheduled for November. ".

The agenda of the meeting of the Bureau also includes the preparation of the next sessions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, including the 33rd session. The Office will also approve measures to supervise local elections in Macedonia and Georgia and will consider a draft resolution on the future of the European Week of Local Democracy - a pan-European event Congress has coordinated since 2007.
