Poland declined plans to portray Lviv on its passports

Such a statement was made by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Mariusz Blaschak. It is reported by Onet. pl.

According to Blaschak, Poland will not depict in the new passports the Eagle Memorial in Lviv and the Holy Gate in Vilnius after the corresponding protests of Ukraine and Lithuania. If we are talking about the Memorial eagle in Lviv, then the figure of Antos Petrikevich was represented instead, "Blashak.



By the way, now instead of the image of the Holy Gates in Vilnius in the Polish passport should appear an inscription from the tomb of Maria Pilsudski.

At the same time, the Minister reminded that he had become the youngest gentleman of the Order Virtuti Militar. Thus, at the age of 13 he, together with other Lviv eagles, fought for the independence of Poland and was buried in the Eagle Cemetery.

As previously reported in Ura-Inform, Ex-President of Poland Lech Walesa believes that after the collapse of the USSR, Ukraine did not have the opportunity to develop as Poland.
