About 6,000 Russian servicemen are in the territories of the Donbas occupied by the militants.
This was stated in an interview with Radio Liberty Speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Seleznev.
"Up to 6,000 Russian servicemen are on the temporarily occupied territory of the Donbas and up to 40,000 Russian-terrorist militants, as well as local marginals who perform tasks in the first and second army corps, which are functionally subordinate to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In fact, they serve as occupying forces on the territory of Ukraine, "said Seleznev.
He noted that the Russian military personnel do not stop coming to the occupied territories of Eastern Ukraine, including the leadership.
"There are immediate military leaders, at the level of the company commander and above, who perform tasks on the principle of" business trips "for a certain time," said Seleznev.
