The document was published in the official newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada "Voice of Ukraine" on Wednesday eve. Thus, the law enters into force on the day following publication.

At the same time, it must be implemented within three months. According to the law, the amnesty applies only to those who did not commit serious and particularly serious crimes.

In particular, under the amnesty are minors, pregnant women, those who have minor children or disabled children, as well as people with disabilities, tuberculosis, AIDS, cancer, pensioners, veterans of the war and participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident.

Their imprisonment is also freed from persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, took direct part in the ATU, received the status of a participant in hostilities.

The execution of the amnesty law is vested in the courts.

Recall, July 7, 2016, the Rada announced an amnesty and distributed it in 2016 to convicted participants.
