Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the EU leadership should determine the position regarding the prospects for Turkey's membership in the Union.

"We want the EU institutions and European countries to be realistic and sincere in the policy towards Turkey.

Some say that they are against Turkey's membership (in the EU), that they will deal with this issue after the elections, and prevent it, and so on, "- quotes the President of the Daily Sabah.

"And now in the EU there are voices that say:" This is decided by the union, not Germany, and so this decision will be taken together ". Congratulations, make your decision as soon as possible, "continued Erdogan.

The President noted that European countries instead of clearing their intentions are trying to induce Turkey to stop the process of joining the EU, and called such a position "immoral".
