The Department of Special Investigations of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine is investigating the case of the Constitutional coup of 2010, which led to the seizure of state power. On this on Wednesday, September 6, on his page in Facebook, said the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko.

According to him, the seizure of power took place through the expansion by unconstitutional means of the powers of the president of Ukraine due to the narrowing of the role and powers of parliament and government. The investigators collected enough evidence and, according to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, Yanukovych and Lavrynovych were informed of the suspicion of seizing state power jointly with others.



Among other things - by taking measures to illegal, without the decision of a single body of legislative power in Ukraine - the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, changes in the current Constitution of Ukraine by introducing the text of the Constitution of Ukraine in the Unified State Register of Regulatory Acts in 1996 and its official publication, - explained Lutsenko.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, Lutsenko said that the gold of ex-President of Ukraine Yanukovych and his entourage was arrested in Switzerland.
