As reported by DW, the results of the poll of the Institute for Sociological Research commissioned by ARD confirm that the current head of the government and the CDU / CSU bloc Merkel scored 55% of the votes of the respondents. Her rival at the elections to the Bundestag of Schulz scored 35%.

According to the survey participants, Merkel was more confident than her opponent during the discussion of a number of topics.
