This was a personal decision of the head of the United States. This Thursday night, August 31, said White House spokesman Sarah Sanders.

Yesterday during a briefing, answering the relevant question, she confirmed that Trump really took this decision.

Recall, the United States demanded that by September 2, close the Consulate General in San Francisco and two consular sites in Washington and New York.

As reported URA-Inform, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the new restrictions with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and said that Moscow will study the requirements of the US and then notify the reaction.
