International company Global Firepower, which annually makes a rating of the best armies in the world, this year placed Ukraine on the 30th place (between Sweden and Myanmar). The first place was taken by the US Army, the second - by the Russian Federation.

The top ten also included Great Britain, Japan, Turkey, Germany and Egypt.

Rating of the best armies of the world consists of 133 countries.

To create rating company Global Firepower conducted a comprehensive study in which accounted for more than 50 factors.

Countries that have a nuclear arsenal received bonus points. Also, additional points were received by countries that are members of NATO.

In comparison with the neighboring countries, Ukraine took the third place - after the Russian Federation and Poland (19th place).

"It should be noted that every year the Armed Forces of Ukraine are rising ever higher in the ranking of the best armies in the world," the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
