According to NATO spokesman Oana Lungescu, the alliance is unhappy with the fact that the drills will be attended by such a meager number of their employees. Two observers will be in Belarus, and the third will be sent to Moscow.
Lungescu insists that other international observers, as well as foreign media, attend the exercises.
Recall that the Ukrainian side is very concerned about the large accumulation of equipment and military at the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. Earlier, MP from the BCP Ivan Vinnik said that the Russian army can launch offensives towards Ukrainian borders.
Poland also prepared a defensive plan of action in the event that Russia attempts to commit provocations on the Polish borders.
As reported in URA-Inform, Russia can use the joint exercises with Belarus "West-2017" to cover the deployment of strike groups of its troops against Ukraine.
