This is stated in the statement of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, reports Deutsche Welle.

"If the United States does not respect the existing rules of international trade and take measures that negatively affect economic and trade relations, China will not simply watch it, it will respond with actions to protect its legitimate rights and interests," said the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.

US Trade Representative Robert Laitheiser was instructed by Donald Trump to examine the situation with China's violation of intellectual property rights.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, China accused the US of "provocations". Chinese authorities are concerned about the violation of their territorial waters by the destroyer USS John S. McCain.
