Syrian government forces have won most of the province of Homs in the central part of the country from the militants of the terrorist organization "Islamic State".

The military, controlled by the Syrian authorities, are moving towards the city of Dair Alzour, which since 2015 has been under the control of the militants of the "Islamic state".

The Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Center announced the elimination of at least 25 militants of the "Islamic State".

Syrian government forces are supported by armed groups organized by Iran and the Russian Air Force.
