Russian government nominated former German Chancellor as director of Rosneft

According to the publication, now in the board of directors of Rosneft nine seats. But with the proposal of the company decided to increase the council to 11 people.

At the same time, other candidates indicated in the document are already members of the acting council - presidential aide Andrei Belousov (chairman of the board), chief executive officer of Rosneft Igor Sechin, professor of the Higher School of Economics Oleg Vyugin, managing director of Nord Stream Matthias Warnig and former ExxonMobil treasurer Donald Humphreys.



Let's note, Gerhard Schroeder was the chancellor of Germany from 1998 to 2005. Earlier, he criticized the European sanctions against Rosneft, imposed for the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

By the way, Schroeder is a close friend of President Vladimir Putin.

Recall, as previously reported, "URA-Inform," the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Bob Corker, is deeply convinced that the US Senate has finally agreed on tightening sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea.
