Adviser to the US President for National Security, General Herbert McMaster, in an interview with MSNBC commented on reports on the possible supply of US weapons to Ukraine.

Counselor Trump said that the form of assistance to Ukraine does not matter. The American administration, he said, is considering various options for supporting.

"The question is, what form of support is needed for Ukraine, whatever would be in our interests and the general desire to ensure that Russia does not take further actions to destabilize the situation," said McMaster.

McMaster also added that the United States is already supporting Ukraine.

Earlier on Saturday, NBC news reported that the Pentagon had proposed that US President Donald Trump's administration supply the armed forces of Ukraine with portable anti-tank missile systems in order to "help in the fight against Russia".

However, the official representative of the Pentagon has not confirmed the information on possible supplies of anti-tank missiles to Ukraine.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that the State Department and the Pentagon have developed a plan to supply weapons to Ukraine to fight pro-Russian separatists.
