There is a proposal to equate the "riders" to drunkards at the wheel and punish the same way. Thus, a fine may amount to 30 thousand rubles. "Racer" will be deprived of rights for up to 2 years. If the violation is repeated, criminal punishment will be imposed, up to imprisonment for up to two years. The leader of the LDPR party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, believes that for street racers the most terrible punishment will be the expulsion of five years from Moscow:
"We need to introduce a new type of punishment - a reference, as was the case with the tsar. From Moscow to send for five years, for them this is the most terrible punishment, where mom and dad will not help ". The head of the Federation Council Committee on Rules Vadim Tyulpanov proposes replenishing article 213 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Hooliganism") with the item "when driving a vehicle". Punishment under this article provides for punishment in the form of a large fine, forced labor and imprisonment of up to 5 years.
