Near the Polish Saeima about three o'clock in the afternoon, a rally began. People spoke out against the contradictory reform of the judiciary proposed by the ruling party "Law and Justice".

As reported by Gazeta Wyborcza, activists came to a rally with the flags of Poland and the European Union. According to the protesters, the reform destroys the independence of the judiciary and leads to "the destruction of the Polish state".

Recall, the Senate of Poland, after the lower house of parliament, the Sejm, voted for amendments to the law on the National Judicial Council and the structure of the courts. Innovations subordinate the Supreme Court to the Ministry of Justice and strengthen the government's influence on the appointment of the heads of the courts.

As reported by URA-Inform, the Polish opposition sharply condemned changes in the system of justice. In turn, the European Commission plans next week to give its assessment of judicial reform.
