Parliamentarians become accomplices of cybercrimes against their own country. This was said by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov in his commentary.

According to him, many enterprises and organizations have not fully recovered after the large-scale cyber attack on June 27. "Countering the cyber war, which is an integral part of Russia's hybrid aggression against our country, requires mobilizing both appropriate government structures and significant financial and intellectual resources," Turchinov said, adding that cybernetic and information threats can not be effectively counteracted without legislating many issues in this domain.

The NSDC secretary added that on Tuesday the draft law "On countering threats to national security in the information sphere" was not even included in the agenda. "Deputies who work several days a month are apparently very tired, and next week they go on a several-month regular holiday. Yesterday they did not even bother to include in the agenda a law that is of key importance for the state's cyber defense, "he said, adding that those MPs" who did not vote for defending their own country, covering their destructive actions and business, and interests with empty populism and Demagoguery, are complicit in cyberragesia against Ukraine ".

According to him, from next week until mid-September the parliamentarians plan to leave for rest, "leaving the country open for new cyberattacks and information provocations".

"By the way," added Turchynov, "deputies also do not have time to consider in the second reading Law 2126" On the principles of securing cyber security, "which has been in the Verkhovna Rada for several months already".

In addition, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council noted that the majority "formed from Oppoblok and populist factions of the Parliament" also refused to support the law that was supposed to put a filter for obtaining Ukrainian biometric passports by collaborators and agents of Russian special services that are disguised as patriotic people and are On temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbass.
