Despite the bravado of US President Donald Trump and members of his administration after talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, anti-Russian sentiments are growing in America.

This was written in the column for "Apostrophe" by a Russian political scientist who fled the persecution of the Russian authorities in the United States Andrei Piontkovsky.

According to him, Trump's formula "about moving forward" in relations with Russia, which he proposed at a meeting with Putin, caused a very large wave of criticism in the US.

"Anti-Kremlin and pro-Ukrainian sentiments are only intensifying. And it is very characteristic, incidentally, the appointment of a special representative of the United States to discuss with the Ukrainian question Kurt Volker, "- said Piontkovsky.

He stressed that Volcker is "a hawk from hawks on the Ukrainian question".

"Nothing good for Russia in the Ukrainian direction and in all other aspects of Russian-American relations is foreseen.

Despite Trump's sincere desire to do something nice for Putin, "Piontkovsky writes.

In his opinion, the more Trump takes some steps toward Putin, the more outrage this evokes in the American establishment, including cabinet members.

"In the coming days, without doubt, the House of Representatives will approve a bill that was almost unanimously adopted by the Senate, on strengthening sanctions against Russia," the political scientist summed up..
