Granting a Membership Action Plan (MAP) to NATO in Ukraine would be a step towards further Alliance advancement to Russian borders, which will not contribute to the strengthening of European security, said Dmitry Peskov, the presidential press secretary.
"For many years Russia has been seriously concerned about the approach of NATO's military infrastructure to our borders.
