The killing of military men Alexander Kharabyush, Maxim Shapoval, Yuri Voznoy and journalist Pavel Sheremet - this series of bombings was unlikely to be directed solely against Ukrainian intelligence and counterintelligence by Russia. One of the aims of these explosions is to spread fear in society.

A natural question arises - why are these attacks taking place? At the moment, it is difficult to judge the effectiveness of our intelligence and counterintelligence services, since we do not know how many such cases they have already prevented. These data simply do not disclose. Why? Because they can cast a shadow on the sources of information on the network that they are trying to uncover, intelligence information and so on.

But it is unlikely that our service is so ineffective. This is war, but in war there are no losses without loss. Ideal systems also do not happen. And to evaluate the effectiveness of our services without assessing the effectiveness of the other, the Russian side - it makes no sense. For the general picture, we do not have enough information.

And they do not give us it for two reasons: not to disclose operational data and thus not to harm the investigation or to hide someone's guilt, if in reality things are going badly. What exactly in the case of explosions is difficult to judge. But Russian intelligence is a serious adversary who is able to skilfully confuse his own actions. And therefore our services in a rather difficult situation.

To say that the explosions of Haraberiush and Shapoval, Vozny and Sheremet unite one trace, you can do as many as you like. But without these consequences we are powerless. Even explosives found under the seats of undermined drivers may not be at all the key to the solution. Imitating the style of destruction, the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks could actually, with the help of explosives,. And why do they remove certain people? The answer is simple: it allows eliminating the objectionable (military, journalists) and intimidating the society.

For political purposes, everything indicates that these explosions were carried out by Russia. And if they are definitely decorated and proven, the consequences for it will be deplorable. Including, the recognition that the Russian Federation is a sponsor of terrorism. And then sanctions are possible at the international level. But for now, we need to focus on protecting the common people: maybe Russia has not yet reached the point of eliminating civilians, but after such a series of explosions, it is possible. And that's why we must be ready for anything.
