Self-exposure of Trump

In the last week, the United States stirred up new high-profile revelations. As it turned out, back in early August, the CIA provided President Obama with a detailed report in which, referring to high-ranking sources in the Russian government, it was noted that Vladimir Putin personally gave the order to intervene in the American elections, moreover with a specific goal - to damage the candidate from the Democratic Party Hillary Clinton and help elect her opponent, Donald Trump.

In fact, there is nothing surprising in this revelation. For all who closely followed the course of the election campaign, it was obvious that the Kremlin was doing everything possible and impossible to promote its candidate. To discredit the democrats were sent to all Russian media: both internal and external. Against them, Russian-controlled hackers and Wikileaks, which published the results of hacking. Numerous troll armies, already active in the American media space for several years, including in the professional community of Linkedin, in a moment turned from pro-Putin to pro-Tramp.

Moreover, Moscow has reached direct nuclear blackmail, while directly stating that a nuclear war in the event of Clinton's victory will be almost inevitable. In October last year on Russian television, one after another, specialized programs dedicated not only to the quality of bomb shelters, but also to technologies for the operation of antimissile defense. On the official channel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, there was a twenty-minute story at all under the high-sounding title "Obama is threatening Russia!", In which it was bluntly stated that the US, I quote, "is the enemy of mankind". Then the famous Russian journalist Alexander Sotnik published on his page in social networks the post of a woman who claims that the children of one of the Moscow schools are being scared by nuclear war with the US and death in case of victory in the presidential election Hillary Clinton.

Conspiracy theories like "Putin wanted to help Clinton, but pretended to help Trump", do not stand the slightest criticism. All security specialists with whom I have been able to communicate agree on the idea that the best and most reliable way to define "double agents", false operations and other ways of misleading the enemy is to assess the real correlation between profit and harm. No imaginary operation will carry in itself so much real damage to the one in whose favor it is purportedly directed, and will not allow itself to bring such a quantity of real benefit to the alleged enemy.

In addition, the behavior of Donald Trump himself during the election campaign clearly indicated that he fully and completely accepts the help of Moscow. Trump daily quoted Russian propaganda, loudly admired Putin, actively defended him against all the facts and interests of his own country, called on Russian hackers to further break-ins and never rebuked Putin even for obvious crimes against the US.

After the inauguration of Trump, this policy continued, and the "bromance" of the two leaders became so obvious that even the well-known Russian-American historian, security specialist and co-author of the late Alexander Litvinenko, Yuri Felshtinsky, noted that "all points of the agreement between Putin and Trump are clear at least because , That from day to day both parties bluntly announce them aloud, as if specifically to ensure that everything is finally understood by all ". Almost all the members of the Trump team have very close, and often financial, relations with Moscow.

In short, the declassified CIA report only confirms that it was already obvious to all unbiased observers and security experts. However, an indicative reaction to the revealed facts of Donald Trump himself. Even without denying the truthfulness of the report, the latter lashed out with accusations against his predecessor Barack Obama for not taking sufficient measures to stop Russian interference.

This, in fact, is a good question for Obama, among the answers to which American experts call both geopolitical considerations and excessive nobility, and the belief that Hillary Clinton will in any case win the elections, as well as the banal fear of condemnation on the part of the Republicans who Would be obliged to accuse him of party bias and attempts to use the presidential power to punish his rivals. Although, in my deep conviction, none of these reasons is valid for neglecting the interests of national security. And even more senseless is the attempt to show nobility in relations with slanderers.

Almost all my life I lived in Russia, the country of defeated libel, and I know too well from personal experience that when confronted with slanderers your personal behavior, views, actions and nobility have absolutely no significance. Liars and slanderers judge by themselves, and therefore any behavior that runs counter to the picture of the world that is convenient for them will be perverted, vulgarized and seduced.

In his tweets, Trump constantly hints that since Obama has not taken action against Russian interference in the elections, it means that the intervention was carried out in favor of the Democrats. Thus, he directly reveals his own logic and how he himself would act in this case. From his point of view, to punish a hostile state can only be if it harms your personal interests. In the same case, if the actions of enemies bring you personal gain, it is unacceptable to take any measures against them. And, as we see from the behavior of Trump himself, in practice he is guided precisely by this logic.

The fact that Barack Obama did not take action against the hostile state that caused damage to his own party is simply not capable of coming to the head of those who in practice do not recognize other interests, except personal and party. Putin and Trump, as well as their admirers, will never accept the truth that such a man hated by them was more magnanimous and nobler than them, and, unlike them, did not want the presidential power to look like the possibility of reducing personal accounts. I repeat: I do not justify the actions of Barack Obama, and I understand that in addition to nobility there could be a banal cowardice and a weakness unacceptable for the head of state. In any case, excessive human decency in politics is perceived rather as a defect. And even more so it is impossible to show it when confronted with the slanderers of the KGB squad.

As might be expected, neither Trump nor his fans appreciated, nor could they appreciate the nobility of their opponent. And even now, when Trump is already the president of the United States for six months, and it is he who is responsible for American foreign policy, they continue to fight with the ghosts of the past. Moreover, the pro-Tramp propagandists still today brand the American institutions, the law enforcement and judicial system, intelligence and counterintelligence in the fact that behind the whole investigation of the connections between Trump and his team with Russia is the "Obama plot". At the same time, in reality neither Obama nor Clinton has and can not exert in principle any pressure on the current political situation in the United States, much less on the work of counterintelligence.

Of course, this can not be called state propaganda, because there are many alternative media outlets, moreover, these are the leading media. But in Russia everything also began: the lie became higher than the judgment, above the law, above everything else. Trampists (politicians, journalists, experts) act absolutely according to Russian patterns: they are trying to create an alternative information reality, demonizing their opponents and bleaching the incumbent president. And many Americans no longer know who and what to believe. In general, the essence of the phenomenon is the same as in Russia, but the difference is that here they have not yet won, they did not monopolize the information space. However, significant damage has already been done.

The US has long valued the reputation of a politician or official, his truthfulness and the absence of immoral acts. Now, real human behavior, facts and long-earned reputation lose their importance. The scope of Putin's tramp propaganda in the United States has shown that it is possible to slander even a man like the former director of the FBI, James Komi, who, according to veterans of the department, enjoyed enormous respect among his staff.

At the same time, the words of a pathologically lying person who daily contradicts even to himself can be imagined as the ultimate truth, because everyone believes in what he is comfortable believing - even if for the sake of this comfort one has to do harm to one's own country. And if in the long run the slander prevails, such an impact can not stand even the American democracy, tested for many years and based on its principles state management.
