The payment for an excise stamp for producers and importers of alcohol and cigarettes can be canceled in the framework of an automated system for controlling the turnover of excisable goods.

Such information is announced by the relevant bill.

It is reported that the launch of an automated system for controlling the turnover of excisable goods will lead to the fact that the excise stamp will cease to be a document of strict accountability. It will remain only a special sign that will confirm the payment of tax.

The Cabinet proposes to introduce an electronic excise consignment note for the movement of cigarettes, alcohol and alcoholic beverages.

It will have to be filled by sellers who have licenses to sell the goods. After filling the electronic excise slip, business entities will register it in the Unified Register of Excise Invoices.

The procedure for maintaining the Unified Register of Excise Invoices will also be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
