The European Union published a decision on sanctions on the Crimea

Thus, the sanctions that are associated with the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol have been extended for another year, until June 23, 2018. They come into force on June 21.

As stated in the legal act, the appropriate category of sanctions includes bans on imports to the EU of products from Crimea and Sevastopol, investments in the Crimea and Sevastopol, services related to tourist activities in the Crimea and Sevastopol; Export of a number of goods and technologies to the Crimea and Sevastopol for the transport, telecommunications and energy sectors, as well as for the oil and gas and mining industries.



However, on the eve of its communique, the EU Council noted that the European Union continues to condemn the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by the Russian Federation and remains determined to fully implement the policy of non-recognition.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, on the eve of Europe extended for a year the Crimean sanctions. Such a decision was adopted in Luxembourg by the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the EU member states.
