On Thursday, June 15, all government ministers submitted applications for resignation. At the moment, one Prime Minister Sorin Grindianu has remained in the Cabinet of Ministers.

About this, after today's meeting of the executive committee of the party, its leader Liviu Dragna. According to him, today at the meeting it was noted that all ministers who are members of the Social Democratic Party applied for resignations.

We also listened to the announcement of Grindyan about the forthcoming resignation and are ready to form a new government that will prepare a roadmap for the implementation of belated government projects, said Dragney, adding that the new government will be formed with the participation of the Social Democrats and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats.

At the same time, the prime minister himself announced that he would announce his final decision whether to retire or not later, during a press conference in the government.

Recall, the resignation of the Romanian government was caused by an unsatisfactory evaluation of its activities by the executive committee of the Social Democratic Party.

As reported URA-Inform, the current government of Romania was approved in early 2017. The ruling coalition includes the Social Democratic Party and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats. The coalition was formed in December 2016 following the results of the parliamentary elections.
