Sweden allocated 5 million euros for the approval of gender equality in Ukraine

This was reported by the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers.

So, the corresponding project provides a budget of five million euros and is designed for four years.

At the same time, the financing will be aimed at providing an integrated national mechanism for introducing gender equality.

In addition, the financial assistance will be in sectoral reforms for supporting the work of the newly created office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, as well as assistance in the implementation of the National Plan of Action "Women, Peace, Security".



"The priority tasks of this project were to monitor the current state of gender issues in Ukraine and the dynamics of social change," said Ivanna Klimpush-Tsintsadze, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

She also stressed that one of the tasks of the project will be to increase the institutional capacity and improve the coordination of the work of all structures that should ensure gender equality.

Recall, as previously reported, "URA-Inform", for the first time in history, the IMF approved the fourth tranche of the loan for Ukraine.
