The court acquitted the ex-Mayor of Stakhanov Yuri Borisov, who was arrested in 2014 on charges of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.

This was reported by journalist Denis Kazan on his Facebook page.

"Despite the evidence, documents and video - rolled the next contract," - said the journalist.

He noted that Borisov was one of the three mayors arrested for separatism. At the moment, only Nelya Shtepa of Slavyansk and Vladimir Sleptsov from Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk) remain in custody,.

"The other mayors who conducted the referendum do not have any problems with the law and continue to hold their posts. It turns out that an unconstitutional referendum was held, thousands of people were killed, but no one is to blame, "- wrote Kazan.

As you know, the arrested mayor of the city of Stakhanov, Yuri Borisov, is accused of encroaching on Ukraine's territorial integrity and inviolability.

Law enforcers established that the Mayor of Stakhanov cooperated with representatives of the former authorities, as well as some current deputies from the Party of Regions,.

With their support, Borisov organized and ensured the holding in Stakhanov of an illegal referendum on May 11 on the separation of the Lugansk region from Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Borisov was cooperating with the investigation on organizing and financing a referendum on the establishment of the "Lugansk People's Republic".

Ukrainian truth.
