German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni called on their allies to accelerate efforts to combat climate change.

As the leaders of the three countries said in a joint statement, the impetus that arose in Paris in December 2015 is irreversible. We firmly believe that the Paris Agreement can not be reconsidered, since it is a vital tool for our planet, society and economy, "said Gentiloni, Merkel and Macron.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, US President Donald Trump on Thursday announced the withdrawal of the US from the Paris Agreement on Climate. According to him, the agreement is not beneficial for the US, since the country can lose billions of jobs.
