According to the search engine's press service, two weeks ago "sanctions and our services were imposed against our company in Ukraine: search, maps, navigation and many others were blocked".

Today in our offices in Kiev and in Odessa were searched by the SBU. From what we know, our employees Yandex LLC. Ukraine is accused of transferring personal information about Ukrainian users to Russian special services. We would like to comment on this.

Neither Yandex employees. Ukraine, neither the leadership of the Ukrainian division had access to personal data of Yandex users. Protection of personal data of our users in all countries where we provide services is the highest priority.

In particular, to ensure this, user data are impersonal and anonymous.

There are strict legal procedures by which law enforcement agencies can apply to the company with the requirement to disclose certain data - but this must be the appropriate court decision, and the company itself should consider it justified. No transfer of data, which Yandex is accused of, was not.

Now we are consulting with lawyers and will take the necessary legal actions to protect our team - for us now this is the most important priority.
