"It is impossible that a military conflict on one side of Europe does not affect the rest of Europe," said Riyivas. "The security of Europe is a single whole, and what is happening in Ukraine is our common concern".

Ryuvas noted that Russia's goal is to destabilize the rest of Europe, using various tools for this, from propaganda and dissemination of false information to cyber attacks.

"Hybrid hazards must be treated as seriously as a conventional attack. Their goals are similar: to shatter Europe and, thus, to increase the geopolitical importance of Russia.

Estonia has extensive knowledge on this topic and, of course, there must be a willingness to share them ".

Vice-speaker of the Riigikogu Taavi Roivas is in Kharkiv until May 31. In addition to participating in the conference, he also plans a series of meetings with Ukrainian politicians and security experts. Tomorrow, on Tuesday, Roivas will also visit Slavyansk to meet with Ukrainian soldiers and receive up-to-date information from direct sources.

Postimees.
