The international community should continue to pressure Russia with economic sanctions. There are several powerful mechanisms that the West has not yet decided to apply.

This in an interview with "Apostrophe" told the Verkhovna Rada deputy, chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov.

The politician identified two main ways of pressure on the Russian Federation: "The first is the need to impose an embargo on Russian energy resources. Today Russia's budget is based on multibillion-dollar profits from oil and gas supplies to Western European countries. Thus, the embargo would become a very effective mechanism. It would be a devastating blow to Russia ". Chubarov stressed that this mechanism would work if the embargo lasted at least a year.

As the second way, the People's Deputy speaks of the complete isolation of Moscow within the framework of existing legal relations. Chubarov said that it also refers to the disconnection of the Russian Federation from the financial and banking system of the world, as well as the isolation of Russian politicians, including Putin.

"The fact is that the world is very rational. And in the Russian government, no matter how vertically built it may be, there are many people for whom their own interests and, somewhat less, corporate interests are more important than what Putin thinks. And the world should create such conditions that not only the Russian government as a whole felt uncomfortable, but that part of this power set itself the goal of removing Putin ".

According to Chubarov, the adoption of these measures "will force part of the policy of Russia to resolve issues of restoring its status, its comfort through the removal of Putin". The Deputy of the Parliament stressed that the above mechanisms are discussed by experts around the world, but the situation has not yet matured for launching these mechanisms, including partially.

"I sometimes joke very bitterly and I say that we still need to help Putin, he must do something - one or two such tangible spittle against the dignity of the world. Against people, against countries, as he did in previous years: with the Malaysian plane, with other situations, with interference in elections already in many countries. This has already been almost proved, "says Chubarov, noting the West's understanding of the impossibility of reaching an agreement with Putin.

"Putin is not a man of dialogue, he is a man of war," said Chubarov. At the same time, the People's Deputy noted that at some point the Russian president will cross that line, after which even cruel measures will be taken against Russia.

However, the leader of the Mejlis noted that in conditions of total zombie, the Russian population can hardly become a lever of influence on Putin.

Chubarov believes that there is only the option of economically putting pressure on Putin's entourage: "They must go to him and say - go away, because that's impossible". I do not fantasize, in Russia the issue with Putin will be resolved either through internal insurrection, or through far more tragic events ".
