In the solemn laying of flowers took part veterans of the Second World, participants of the ATU, representatives of the public and the leadership of the region.

Addressing all those present, HOGA head Yulia Svetlichnaya noted that the victory over Nazism is common for every Ukrainian and European, for the whole world.

"Ukrainian soldiers fought in the composition of various forces: in the anti-Hitler coalition, partisan movement, the underground of many European countries. And today we bow to the earth to those heroes who brought the capitulation of the enemy, which seemed invincible, "said the head of HOGA.

She noted that the share of the Kharkov region during World War II fell almost the most fierce battles.

"Four fights for Kharkov took more lives on both sides than any other battle," noted Yulia Svetlichnaya. "We remember the price that we paid for peace, and we will not let any aggressor step on our native land. Here, in place of glory, grandfathers and grandchildren, defenders of the Motherland gathered: those who held back the Third Reich, and those who defend Ukraine in the east. We appreciate the feat of each soldier who defends our country with his strength and will. Glory to the hero warrior! Glory to the Ukrainian army! Glory to Ukraine! ".

HOGA.
