Ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich and his son Alexander are not in search of Interpol, said the spokesman of Alexander Yanukovych Yuri Kirasir referring to the British law firm Joseph Hage Aaronson, which serves the interests of the family runaway president.
On his Facebook page on Wednesday, May 3, Cyrusir published copies of Interpol's replies to the requests of Yanukovych's lawyers, dated April 25. According to the documents, information about the ex-president and his son, previously entered into the database of Interpol, was removed from it.
"It is said that in relation to Yanukovich in the database structure there is no so-called red card.
In particular, Interpol confirmed that Viktor Yanukovych's "red notice" or a special request for arrest are not subject to the arrest, and that their data are not available in Interpol's database, "explained Yanukovych's spokesman.
Earlier, the chief military prosecutor Anatoly Matios suspected the employees of the Ukrburo Interpol in the assistance of Yanukovych and his comrades-in-arms. In addition, as noted by Matios, Yanukovych's associates send part of the proceeds of crime to finance information agencies in Ukraine to discredit the GPU.
