The current Ukrainian government is not accidental and objectively corresponds to the current situation in the country, writes in his article for ZN. UA economist Alexander Paskhaver.

The author notes that the power in Ukraine after the Maidan was transferred to the most far-sighted representatives of the old system. In his opinion, the elites were divided, which is a necessary condition for the victory of the revolution.

"Representatives of the new government from the old politician are ideologically undoubtedly liberals, but the technologies for carrying out the reform are not radical-revolutionary, but rather they can be called negotiation and reform. Press, where possible, and not break "through the knee". It seems to me that a deep knowledge of the oligarchic matrix and its right helps them in this process, "reads the article.

Paskhaver points out that, given the phenomenal stability of the oligarchic matrix and the real balance of forces, the radical break-up of the old way would hardly have been more successful, but the risks would have increased by an order of magnitude.

"Regarding the reform, we have spontaneously created a" sandwich "incentive structure. Inside the government, on both sides, foreign donors and domestic activists put pressure on it. This somewhat increases the strength of the reformer construction. It seems that the current power is not accidental and is itself an objective circumstance. The power is not conquered, but transferred by the Maidan and, given the other objective circumstances listed above, seems to be adequate to the situation, "the analyst concluded..
