As Kommersant writes, referring to its sources in the state structures of the two countries, Donald Trump is expected to be in Europe from 25 to 27 May. Here he will attend the NATO summit, which will be held in Brussels and the G7 summit in the Italian Taormina.
After that, he will go to one of the third countries, where he plans to meet in Putin.
At the same time, the sources note that despite the difficulties in the interaction between the US and Russia, the contacts between the representatives of the Kremlin administration and the White House, as agreed by the two heads of state, were not interrupted.
Recall that in March this year, the spokesman of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said that the meeting of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin could take place at the G-20 summit in German Hamburg in July 2017.
As reported URA-Inform, Trump previously stated that he is confident in the onset of a "lasting peace" between the US and Russia.
