For Agramunt, the King's visit was to be a demonstration of his own political influence, the ability to represent Spain at the highest international level. But the visit that was being prepared and initiated by Agramunt will take place in the atmosphere of his personal disgrace. PACE President prepares for early resignation. Even when I found out about the visit of a group of PACE deputies led by Agramunt together with Russian deputies to Syria, I could not understand: does the Spanish parliamentarian not understand the consequences of his trip? If Agramunt was an ordinary deputy, he could get away with it. But Agramunt represents PACE. The organization imposed well-deserved sanctions on Russia, after which the Russian delegation refused to participate in the assembly at all. The main task of the PACE President was to convince Moscow to continue participating in the assembly in the designated format and take steps that could lead to the lifting of sanctions - that is, to call on its president to get out of the Crimea and the Donbass. The fact that Russian deputies are not parliamentarians, and Putin's lackeys are not the problem of Agramunt. This is the problem of people who have long since lost the remnants of human dignity, have turned into live printers.

But instead of presenting the PACE position, Agramunt is traveling with the Russians to Syria. Perhaps, the Russians deceived him and said that it would be a secret visit. And, maybe, Agramunt deceived himself, it does not matter. It is important that he set up an organization that he was entrusted with to lead.

The visit of deputies was not an ordinary visit of parliamentarians. In Damascus, they met with Bashar Assad - after the Syrian bastard destroyed women and children with chemical weapons, the handshake of Agramunt with him looks piquant. Far from all European governments recognize Assad's legitimacy, Agramunt had no right to harvest this dirty hand without authority from PACE. But meeting with Assad is just flowers.
