Russian political scientist, professor, head of the SOVA expert group and a member of the public council of the House of Free Russia in Kiev, Mikhail Savva believes that the election of President Putin for a new term in 2018 will significantly increase the likelihood of the collapse of the Russian Federation. He told about this in an interview with the "Observer".

Sawa recalled that he has been studying separatism in Russia for about twenty years and can confidently say that the disintegration always began when there was one condition: a strong and rapid weakening of the center of state power.

Savva notes that the separation of a number of regions of modern Russia, and not only of the North Caucasus, is quite possible, if this condition is met.

The political scientist believes that Putin's re-election in 2018 will significantly increase the likelihood of the collapse of the Russian Federation. Sawa predicts that in this case the transfer of power will not be peaceful and its consequences will be unpredictable.

Recall, in April last year, Nikolai Petrov, a visiting researcher at the European Council on Foreign Relations (European Council on Foreign Relations), voiced the prediction that "Putin's regime will fall within a year".
