Parliament remains committed to the policy of diplomatic settlement of the conflict in the Donbass, which concerns the realization of the Minsk agreements.

This statement was made first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko during a meeting with German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel, the press service of the BPP.

Gerashchenko also thanked the German colleagues for their support of Ukraine regarding the settlement of the conflict in Donbas.

"The Ukrainian parliament is one that we have to make efforts to restore the territorial integrity of the state, and we remain committed to the policy of diplomatic settlement of the conflict in the Donbass, the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

But, unfortunately, we have to admit that today there are serious concerns about the failure of the Minsk agreements with the Russian Federation. In this context, I want to focus on the fact that Minsk format is not independent. It is derived from the Norman format in which Germany plays a key role, "- said Gerashchenko.

As reported, "URA-Inform", previously the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said that the Donbass does not need Russia. Just a neighboring state is trying to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.
