An attacker in the center of Kiev snatched a bag from a man with personal belongings, but when he tried to hide he broke his leg and was detained. This is reported by the Metropolitan Office of the National Police on Friday, August 10.

Not far from the scene of the crime were operatives of the Pechersk district, who rushed to catch up with the robber. Noticing the pursuit, the attacker ran into the entrance and jumped into the street from the second floor. When he fell, he broke his leg and was detained. After that, the man was sent to the hospital.
Law enforcers found out that the robber was a 33-year-old local resident who was already being held criminally responsible for theft.

186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The intruder faces up to four years of imprisonment.
