Barge with watermelons will arrive from Kherson region to Kiev on August 10. This was announced by the director of the enterprise Southern export of the LTD, Alexander Musienko, the publication Agroinsider.

According to him, first the barge was going to be sent on July 25-26, but the rains prevented. Now the dispatch is scheduled for August 5.

Musienko noted, after 10 August watermelons can be seen on the shelves of Kiev supermarkets. He said that it will be the second after a long break delivery of watermelons to Kiev along the Dnieper.

At the same time, the method of delivery on water, although longer, but the cargo does not deteriorate, as in transportation by road. This year four barges with berries will be sent to Kiev.

Recall, last year in Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky arrived barge with watermelons, which was with Hola Prystan in the Kherson region. The barge became famous after Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman's statement about the historical significance of this trip, which was the reason for numerous jokes.
