The author of the draft decision, deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the Freedom faction Yuriy Sirotuk noted that the document provided for prohibiting the increase of tariffs for transportation of passengers on city public routes in Kiev until the introduction of an automated system for recording travel expenses and conducting a full independent public audit of utilities Kyiv Metro and Kyivpastrans.

According to him, it was planned to cancel the order of July 5, which increased the cost of transportation in public transport.

The draft decision on the ban on increasing the cost of travel was submitted to the Kyiv City Council for consideration on July 12, but then the vote on it did not take place.

Recall, since July 14 a one-time trip to the metro, trolley, tram, public bus, cable car and a city train has risen to 8 hryvnia.

On July 17, the Kiev District Administrative Court sued the capital authorities in connection with the establishment of new tariffs for passenger transportation in urban transport.
