It is noted that in Kiev fighters from 38 countries gathered. Traditionally, these competitions were attended by coaches of Ukrainian national teams in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling, who later will go to the European Championships.
The level of the current tournament was very high. Therefore, the victories of four Ukrainians - the wives of Andrei Kvyatkovsky and Alexander Khotsyanivsky, the Greek-Roman Jean Belenuk, and Alla Belinskaya - can be considered a serious achievement.
It should be noted that the best representatives of freestyle and women's wrestling, prize-winners of the world championship Andrey Yatsenko and Yulia Tkach were released from participation in the Kiev tournament because of damages. Their participation in the European Championships does not seem to be discussed.
As previously reported in the "URA-Inform", in the Hungarian city of Gyor at the European Championship in shooting from pneumatic weapons Ukrainians received the first gold medal.
