According to the chairman, a new introduction of innovative technologies for water disinfection, after which the chlorine farm will be decommissioned and mothballed.

It is noted that the specialists of "Kievvodokanal" have studied the practice of water disinfection, on the examples of Vienna, Nuremberg, Palermo.

During 2017, to assess the feasibility of new techniques at the Dnieper and Desnyanskaya stations, information was collected on water quality in the Dnieper and Desna rivers. After that, industrial tests were carried out at the Dnipro station. New methods allow to disinfect water more effectively.

Thanks to new methods, the taste of chlorine disappears, the water acquires the best taste characteristics, and the need for additional disinfection already in the process of transportation to the end user disappears.

In addition, Panteleev noted that negotiations are currently under way with foreign companies to implement these initiatives.
