Based on the results of the preliminary investigation, it was established that the mayor of Bucha city and the proxied officials had abused the official position when seizing forest fund lands and changing their target area of ??80 hectares. These lands were further sold to private individuals, which caused damage to the state by UAH 400 million. The transfer of land occurred in the period from 2002 to 2015.
Separate cases are also instituted against the secretary and deputy mayor of Bucha.
Now the case was sent to the Irpen town court of the Kiev region. All persons involved in the case face ten or more years of imprisonment.
