The coldest in December for Kiev was 11th, when the air temperature dropped to minus three degrees. The warmest dates were from 20 to 25 December, when the indicators on thermometers did not fall below nine degrees in the daytime and three degrees at night. In December, five temperature records were set. In particular, within one month the least amount of precipitation fell, the largest snow cover was recorded on Nauka Avenue - 35 centimeters.
A few days fell a record amount of precipitation - 129 mm, the last time this happened in 1891.
