In Kiev, for the 48th week of the epidemic season, 18795 patients with influenza and ARVI were registered, which is 5% higher compared to the previous week. As noted, the schoolchildren registered an increase in morbidity by 8.3% - 4,925 cases (36.0% of the total number of sick children and 26.2% of the total number of people who applied for medical help). During this period, 5,099 adults were sick compared to 5,048 for the 47th week (a 1% increase). Among the children, the incidence rate increased by 6.5% (13696 vs. 12802 for the 47th week). In the structure of morbidity, children make up 72.9%, in the previous week this figure was 71.7%. 198 people were hospitalized in the health facilities of the city in the 48th week, 162 of them. Nevertheless, the indicator in Kiev is below the epidemiological threshold by 21.5%.

The intensity of the epidemic process is at a characteristic level for this period. For the current week in vaccination rooms of private clinics and public health institutions, the vaccination against influenza covers 1941 people, since the beginning of the epidemic season - 19,679 people, of which 4,739 are children. Recall, previously reported that over the past week in no region of Ukraine was not exceeded the epidemic threshold of incidence of influenza and ARVI.
