The first of these was the decision to entrust Kiev with the holding of the next, the 56th, in the Congress of the World Boxing Council in 2018.

This was announced by the President of the National League of Professional Boxing of Ukraine Mikhail Zavyalov on his Facebook page himself.

Representing Ukraine at the Congress in Baku will be: Mikhail Zavyalov, vice-president of the League Alina Shaternikova, as well as the "eternal" world champion in the WBC version, Vitali Klitschko and ex-world champion Victor Postol.

Add that the WBC congress is an important and prestigious event in the life of the most respected boxing organization.

Every Congress is attended by representatives of all member countries and just boxing celebrities from all over the world.
