At the metro station Lesnaya law enforcement officers found a man with 30 cartridges. This Friday, September 22, the press service of the State Unitary Enterprise of Ukraine in Kiev.

It is noted that during the working off of the station in the framework of Operation Weapons and Explosives, police stopped a suspicious man to check documents. As a result, several dozen cartridges of 7.62 mm caliber were found in his bag.

The detainee was a 30-year-old native of the Zhitomir region, who already had problems with the law for committing a criminal offense under art.. 121 on willful bodily harm of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The man explained to the law enforcers that the seized items did not belong to him.

He allegedly found them in the forest, but for what purpose he kept himself and where he was driving, refused to answer.

Ammunition already seized for the relevant examination.

On this fact, a criminal proceeding under article. 263 on the Illicit Treatment of Arms. The offender faces up to seven years in prison.
