SBU detained manufacturers of false documents for Russians

Employees of the SBU together with the police detained in Kiev participants of an organized group that produced fake documents for the legalization of illegal migrants in Ukraine. This is reported by the SBU press center on Thursday, August 31.

Law enforcers established that the members of the group had fabricated false documents for citizens of the Russian Federation and the countries of the Middle East, whom the accomplices had to illegally transfer across the state border of Ukraine.



During the searches at the place of residence of the defendants of the case, the law enforcers seized fake seals of state bodies, private organizations, banking institutions, notaries, as well as forms of passports, birth certificates, residence permits, powers of attorney and certificates of state registration of acts of civil status.

The SBU noted that a significant part of the documents seized by law enforcers were made up of passports of citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as foreigners from regions with increased terrorist activity.

Earlier in the capital, counterintelligence covered a whole service of documentary support for LDNR.
